Why We Built This Site
Texas does not place every public criminal record in one database. The Starr County Sheriff's Office creates or maintains sheriff reports and local booking material, while the county and district clerks preserve filed charges, docket events, judgments, and dispositions for their courts. Texas DPS maintains the central criminal-history repository and public conviction name search. TDCJ handles state prison information, and DPS also operates the public sex offender registry. We organize the verified portals, office contacts, request paths, and known access limits so readers can begin with the custodian that holds the record they seek.

What We Cannot Do
This is a privately run reference site. It has no affiliation with Starr County, a Texas court, a police department, the sheriff, DPS, or any other government body. Those limits matter:
- We cannot run an official background check or pull a criminal record for anyone
- We cannot file expungement petitions, records requests, or any other paperwork on your behalf
- We cannot issue certified copies of any criminal record, court document, or rap sheet
- We cannot give legal advice or explain how a specific charge or case applies to you
- We cannot promise that a displayed phone number, address, fee, or portal remains current
Only the government custodian, such as the Starr County sheriff, the proper clerk, or Texas DPS, can issue or certify its record. This resource can identify the route, but it cannot supply the official document.
Search Partners
Third-party providers power search boxes that appear on some pages. Each provider controls its service, results, and prices. A paid signup reached through one of those tools may produce a referral fee that supports this resource. We do not set the charge, maintain the provider's data, or decide which results it returns.
